It stores 2 hours of video and comes with some pretty neat editing software. You can also use the software, Flipshare, and upload it to a Flip channel to share with family or friends. If you haven't ever seen or heard of one of these easy to use cameras, take a look...

Wordle Perfect for those first days of school... make a wordle with everyone's name or let each student create one telling about themselves or their family.
"Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends." This is a wonderful web 2.0 site with all sorts of educational possibilities. This site takes text and creates a word cloud of the most used words in the text. Copy and paste a short story or the intro to a novel and have students complete a pre-reading assignment on their ideas what the story/novel will be about. Copy and paste the Declaration of Independence and have students narrow down the top 25 words to the most important 5 or 10. This site is limited by your creativity!
Everyday Teaching...This is a great site for teaching ideas and resources... and with the beginning of school, maybe some of these ideas will fit your needs. You can also sign up for a "flyer" delivered to your email with lots of new ideas and resources. You can also join to get more member services... they even have a site license and it's pretty affordable.
"Everyone is welcome to subscribe to our FREE Classroom Flyer. While resources are much more limited in this free newsletter, a monthly topic gives you a peek of what you can expect, to a much greater extent, in our daily newsletters. We encourage everyone to sign up for and share the resources this free newsletter offers; it's a good way of previewing the resources we select for you. Why do we also offer a free newsletter? Of course, we hope you will like it enough to realize how beneficial our service is, and that you will sign up for our daily membership newsletter options as well!"
